THIS IS AN AMAZING IDEA. I CAN LITERALLY QUOTE MOST OF THAT MOVIE. NEVER WATCH IT WITH ME, YOU WILL PUNCH ME IN THE FACE

I WILL PROBABLY PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE, YES, BUT NOT HOW YOU EXPECT. ALSO I CAN QUOTE PRETTY MUCH EVERY HARRY POTTER MOVIE, ESPECIALLY COS BECAUSE GINNY.

IT IS EXACTLY WHAT I EXPECT, AND I THINK YOU’RE GONNA COMMIT MULTIPLE CASES OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. I LOVE ALL THE HARRY POTTER MOVIES, BUT THE FIRST ONE IS THE ONE I KNOW THE BEST. THE ORIGINAL

(I must preface this by saying this is for the sole purpose of that "break my muses heart" meme and is utterly separate from our main thread.) "Rose," the Doctor said, running his hand through his hair. He had thought long and hard about how he was going to do this, but now that the time came to say it, he couldn't even look her in the eyes. "Rose, I made a mistake, bein' with you. I'm sorry, 'cause you're payin' the price. But... I can' be a father, I can' do this again. I'm takin' y' home."

The Doctor had told her that he needed to talk to her this morning, and this was just as she had expected. “I-I hate to say that I expected this. I didn’t want to, I wanted to believe that you could keep your promise.” Tears were fresh on her cheeks. “I’ll get my things.” She left the room, not giving him a chance to try to comfort her.

As Jackie continued to ignore him, the Doctor felt his ears grow warm, but when she finally addressed him, he thought perhaps being ignored was better. “Jackie Tyler,” the Doctor snapped, irritated. But one glance at Rose, and he decided better. “Jackie… I’ll park the TARDIS in the corner ‘f your flat an’ stay in there all night ‘f you want. But I’d like t’ be close t’ Rose an’ my daughter,” he said firmly, emphasizing the last two words.  The Doctor glanced at the baby in Jackie’s arms, then at Rose, knowing that he’d made the right decision. His hearts hadn’t felt this full in centuries. It seemed he finally had someone to live for again.

The three of them were interrupted by the nurse, returning to check on Rose’s vital signs. She commented on how she’d never seen such a fast and miraculous recovery, and the Doctor couldn’t help but smile. Declaring that they’d keep her under observation for one more night, the nurse scheduled Rose’s discharge for the next morning, under the assumption her condition remained stable overnight. When the nurse left, the Doctor smiled, both glad Rose was well again, but enormously guilty for letting her get that ill in the first place. “‘F you like, Rose, I’ll stay with y’ tonight,” he said, not looking Jackie in the eye as he did so. “Or I’ll go back t’ the TARDIS, wha’ever y’ want…”

After the Doctor’s option, Jackie’s eyes dart between his and Rose’s. Rose nodded to her mother who sighed heavily. She finally looked down to Lily who smiled up to her. “If this baby wasn’t in my arms, I’d be hittin’ you upside the head before lettin’ you in my flat again.” Her lips pursed as if she didn’t want to say the next few words, because she didn’t. Rose was going too soft on him, but that was her decision. This decision was one she was making for Lily, who they all had to think about now. “If that box is anywhere in the way, you’re puttin’ it outside. And when people come over, you’re hidin’ it.” Jackie accepted, and Rose let go of the deep breath that she had been holding in.

The nurse calmed Rose down tenfold, because being sick like that terrified her. She wanted to be able to be there for Lily and her family. Jackie got up and left so they could talk about him staying the night  ”I’m…” The question actually quieted her, because she didn’t know where they stood in that area, and she was supposed to be the one making the rules. “I don’t think you should stay in here tonight. I’m not ready for everything, and being with you all the time again. You can stay until I’m ready for bed.”

All Rose had gone and done was take a shower, and now there was a strange man in her bed. “Um… who are you? Who let you in my flat, and then in my bed? My mum wouldn’t do that. Did you climb in the window?” She grabbed the closest thing in her room she could find to hit him with, holding it up in a swinging position. “Get out!” Out!”

The Doctor’s arms folded around Rose almost instinctively. For just a single second, it was like she was back, his Rose, who remembered all the fantastic adventures they’d had together. But then she pulled away, cheeks red with embarrassment, and the moment was gone. “It’s— it’s fine, Rose.” He didn’t know how to phrase it exactly, but they were no strangers to comforting hugs and lingering embraces. In fact, it seemed they each sought out physical contact with the other on a daily basis… but that may have just been his imagination.

"C’mon," he said firmly, lacing his fingers through hers and pulling her off down the corridor. While they walked, the Doctor decided to get as much information as he could, in hopes he might get a clue as to what had happened to his Rose. "What’s the last thing y’ remember? I mean, is the whole year gone, or d’you have bits an’ pieces of memory?"

When his arms wrapped around her, Rose felt comforted, like they had done this before. After pulling away, she suddenly felt the need to do it again. “As long as you say so. I don’t want to cross any boundaries that I don’t know exist.” Like this, she had to pay more attention. They could have been past all of this awkwardness, and they could hug all of the time, and hold hands like there was no tomorrow, but she had no idea what they were comfortable with. The Doctor didn’t seem to want to tell her exactly what was normal, but maybe it was because he didn’t even know.

"Comin’" Rose followed close behind, not wanting to get lost in this huge machine, but she also wanted to fix this as soon as possible. "Um… I remember walkin’ out of work one night. Normal day, got out early, met Mickie at the pub. We had a few drinks and headed back to his. Then, I remember…. waking up at mums. Taking the shower, and then you. Guessed that when I was drunk, Mickie and I got into a fight, and I took a cab home."
